Just stumbled upon your Mass Effect 3 Log Book comic today and read from about halfway (I think) to the end. Now I'm planning to read it all over from the beginning, and I have to say that I'm pretty annoyed that there's no way to fave'd a folder/series. ^^;
You managed to make the log book truly sounds (or read, technically) like a diary, something that some people would have written or doodle (did Shep even draw?) in their personal book/notes. :) Those pages succeeded in bringing Shepard more 'alive' and human as I read Shepard's thoughts and feelings as each event happened one after another. (not to mention the emotions evoked!)

I've tasted part of it, now I want to know the whole thing! :D
And I have the feeling that I'm going to sweep the rest of your gallery afterward. x3 Looking forward to it!! Thanks for the amazing comics!

Thank you very much for your kind words. Indeed, the effect I was trying to get is Shepard taking some personal notes during her trips. I'm very happy you got that impression.

It might be easier for you to read the journals in Issuu depending on the interface you are using: in a PC, Issuu tends to be better; in a tablet, I prefer Deviantart because I work in 2-pages format all the time. Just in case, here are my videogame sketchbooks:

As soon as I get my hands on DA3, I'll be starting a new one, too :)

Best wishes,

Cris

I actually using both pc and tablet, depending on where I am, so it's nice to know both options. Thanks a lot! :)

On that note, I just finished your whole ME trilogy Log Book. Despite already knowing the ending of your log book series, after I read the whole story from ME 1 Log Book, the final pages of the third series suddenly have so much more impact. (and WAY more feels that I prepared myself for :cries: )
Shepard's final words and then Ashley's addition, the emotions became more real, the loss became more pronounced. I admit, I teared up when I re-read Shepard's final log, and even more so at Ashley's log in the last page. I don't know if I can point out which part(s) touched me so much.

Maybe it's because despite knowing Shepard's platonic fondness and care for Ashley in the whole series, other than ME1, there didn't seem much interaction between Shep and Ash (for obvious reasons) and I couldn't really see whether Ash feel the same way or not for Shep, or if she even knew that her Skipper considered her as her sister and BFF.
So, realizing that Shep had left her journal for Ash and letting Ash know how much Shep valued her in her last entry, then having Ash confirmed in her own entry that she, too, considered Shep as her sister and BFF (and hero)... Aww man... I'm tearing up again. :tears:
I'm not sure if either Shep or Ash ever said those things in person (being BFF and like a sister), and it punched me in the gut imagining the only time they ever tell each other about that was through those log paper sheets.
(And it will still punch me in the gut if in your canon they did tell each other that in person, the tears will just be for different reason)
The poem in the last page was a very nice touch, and a very 'Ashley Williams' thing to do. (it caused another teary eyed moment, especially since I can almost hear it spoken out loud by Ashley when I read it)

I'm rambling, sorry. ^^; Your whole ME Log Book Trilogy series are awesome and you finished it with a massive BANG of success, IMO. :) Again, thank you so much for the journey and adventures you've brought me through the series. Now it's time for me to find more of these in your Gallery!

Have fun with DA3, whenever you got that. :D I think I might dive into your DAO series next. Cheers!! :w00t:

Wow, thanks a lot for your extensive comment, I'm really touched that you liked my ME diary series so much.
During my playthrough, In noticed that Bioware left Shepard quite devoid of personal information, probably so that he/she would fit every player as much as possible ("blank" prototype). Although this fits any shooter quite right, it's not so good for RPG games. Bioware partially solved this with its choice of romanceable characters, but people also have family and friends, right?

My Shepard was a spacer and a survivor of Akuze. The first choice meant that she had a mother, but actually rear Admiral Hannah Shepard is only mentioned a few times: during a minor side-mission, in a mail after Shepard's rebirth and briefly in ME3. In all cases, she basically states how proud she is. Being Shepard an only child, it sounded like a bit of a estranged relationship to me. Lonely, too, without any siblings and no real attachment to any particular place. If you add that to someone who lost all her crew in a maws attack in one of her first assignments, plus a biotic, too, I thought I would get someone lonely.

During ME1, I did not get into the whole romance thing: both Liara and Kaidan were really pushy and it bugged me that you actually had to choose one or the other and could not reject them both. Ashley's easy friendship sounded more appealing to me and it felt natural that (my) Shepard would think of her as family. Thus, the scene in Horizon makes sense, too.

I also enjoyed the relationship with Ken and Gabby, and Anderson. They made sense to me, although they were secondary characters.

I see that you are reading now my Dragon Age series, I hope you like them too :D

Thanks a lot for reading and commenting! Hug
